BSP leader Ninova speaks out on the regrouping of the parallel state in Bulgaria

For the past month and a half, the parallel state has been regrouping to survive and continue to rule. This happens because an unnatural political, but probably natural economic, alliance of interests was created. Between the mutually denying GERB-SDS, PP-DB, and illogically, DPS joined them. This was stated by BSP leader Cornelia Ninova from the parliamentary rostrum.

She addressed the people’s representatives from this union:

“Together you adopted the so-called judicial reform in violation of the Constitution, you yourself admitted it. The purpose of this thing was to replace the chief prosecutor Ivan Geshev. And when this is about to happen, from PP-DB you realized that you were used. Che the reform will be reduced to Peshev instead of Geshev and you have no control over this process. That’s why today Hristo Ivanov is on his way to renounce his long-standing battle for judicial reform”commented the leader of the Socialists.

According to Ninova, the proposal to change the Constitution, which PP-DB is making, is an attempt to find a way out. “Because one tendency is for this Supreme Judicial Council to choose the new chief prosecutor, but this SJC is controlled by other forces, not the reformist ones that you want to change. You want to change the Supreme Judicial Council through the Constitution to have control over the process and participate in the selection of the new chief prosecutor”she revealed and specified that it is again a battle for influence, for posts and for levers to master the system.

The chairman of the BSP recalled the party’s words from a week ago: “We have been fighting against the model of GERB and Borisov for 7 years. We have worked with PP-DB for 7 months. We don’t give them more than 7 days, they will fight each other.” We have slightly overrated you. On the second day you killed yourself”she stated and continued: Unnatural unions, unions of account lead to this. And not the political ones, not the targeted ones, not even the ideological ones. We turned out to be right to distance ourselves from this whole process – behind the scenes, from agreements, from efforts to control power and to regroup the parallel state.
