Taichung Braised Pork Rice Stall Murder: Lin Nan Escapes After Stabbing Huang Nan to Death

Lin Nan and seven others went to a braised pork rice stand in Taichung to eat in June last year. They had an argument with Huang Nan. Lin Nan stabbed Huang Nan to death with a knife and escaped. He was sentenced to 2 years in prison, but Lin Nan and his accomplice Wen Nan have fled abroad.

According to the prosecution’s indictment, seven people including a man surnamed Lin went to a nightclub in Nantun District, Taichung City at around 1:00 am on June 23, 2011, to drink and have fun until 6:21 am on the same day, and then went to Taichung. Dining at a braised pork rice stall in the Second Market of Shizhong District. Among them, Xie Nan, who was in Lin Nan’s camp, mistook Huang Nan, the victim who was going to eat in the store, as a friend.

However, after the two parties took their seats, Huang Nan wanted to find other friends for dinner, so he picked up his mobile phone to make a call. Seeing Huang Nan calling, Lin Nan thought that the other party was summoning people to provoke a quarrel, and the two sides started arguing again; Lin Nan and other 7 people gathered near Huang Nan’s seat , began to attack Huang Nan and his friend Wu Nan and others with plastic chairs, wooden chairs, soup ladles, industrial fans, etc.

Lin Nan stabbed Huang Nan again with a jackknife. Lin Nan and his accomplices saw Huang lying in a pool of blood, and the other friends were unable to resist, so they left the scene and fled in the direction of Zhongli, Taoyuan.

Huang Nan died of serious injuries after being sent to the hospital due to head lacerations and 2 puncture wounds on his left chest.

After receiving the report, the prosecutors and the police launched an investigation and arrested Lin Nan’s accomplice You Nan and other 5 people. Charges for homicide, injury and disturbance of order. After the trial, the Taichung District Court found that Yu Nan and other 5 people were involved in the crime of disturbing order. Today they were sentenced to 2 years in prison. The whole case can be appealed.
