When Apple launches iOS 17 later this year, the intention is to add a family feature for the company’s Airtags tracking tags. The function is that up to five people should be able to keep track of the same Airtag, which is practical for items that more than one member of the family may need to find. Anyone sharing Airtagen will be able to see where the item is, play a sound to help locate it, and use Precision Search to locate it as it’s nearby.
This sharing function should also not be exclusive to Airtags, but can also be used with all other network accessories in the Find service.
