Indonesian National Team Bek Pratama Arhan’s Long Throw Leads Tokyo Verdy to Victory in Emperor Cup 2023

Bek Indonesian National team Pratama Arhan admitted that he had done it many times long throw or throw in far together Tokyo Verdy after being decisive for his team’s victory in the Emperor Cup, Wednesday (7/6).

Tokyo Verdy won 2-1 over Thespakusatsu Gunma in the second round of the Emperor Cup 2023 which took place at Ajinomoto Field Nishigaoka Stadium, Tokyo.

Tokyo Verdy fell behind in the 36th minute after Ryo Nishitani scored an own goal. Tokyo Verdy then equalized 1-1 through Goki Yamada’s goal in the 42nd minute.

In the second half Tokyo Verdy finally scored a 2-1 winner in the 83rd minute. A throw-in by Arhan led to one of the Gunma players scoring an own goal.

Arhan admitted that he had often practiced throw-in with the Tokyo Verdy squad. But this is the first time the 21-year-old left-back has shown his abilities in an official match with Tokyo Verdy.

“Yes, I think that’s very good. Because of my strengths [umpan-umpan silang] there, so I took out my strengths, abilities, to help the team win,” said Arhan.

“I take advantage of that too, because we also have practice long throwand we continue to take advantage of that, and in the end we score goals too,” continued the former PSIS Semarang player.

This is Arhan’s second appearance in an official match with Tokyo Verdy. Last season Arhan had the opportunity to play in the J-League 2 once.

“Earlier the players played very well, carried out the coach’s instructions very well, very compact. Even though they conceded one, the game was very good,” said Arhan.

“I thank you very much forsupporthis support and prayers, because Tokyo Verdy achieved good results, qualified for the next round, hopefully in the future Tokyo Verdy and I can play even better,” said Arhan.
