Blattmann fell asleep on Monday 5 June, after a period of illness.
Blattmann was the first woman from Vest-Agder to be permanently elected to the Storting. She sat there for four periods from 1985 to 2001.
Storting representative Kari Henriksen (Ap) says that the news about the former colleague’s death was very sad to receive.
– She was a prominent politician who was enormously concerned with issues that are important even today. She defended and led the way in the Labor Party to have a broad and functioning defence, and committed herself to business and industry in Southern Norway.
Blattmann is the mother of Trond Henry Blattmann, former chairman of the National Support Group after 22 July.
