According to Russian media, 55-year-old Zhanna Romanovskaya, an employee of the financing department of the Ministry of Architecture and Construction of the Russian Federation, wanted to set fire to the military registration and enlistment office. The official allegedly dressed in a camouflage suit and drove up to the building of the military enlistment office in her car.
“A woman drove up to the building in a car and threw three bottles of flammable liquid into it. A large-scale fire was avoided – the fire was extinguished by the policemen guarding the military registration and enlistment office,” the report says.
According to media reports, the official was detained by law enforcement officers, they found a canister and rags on her. The woman did not explain her motives.
Not the first time
In Russia, after the start of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, arson of military registration and enlistment offices became more frequent, especially after the announcement of the so-called “partial mobilization” by the Russian dictator.
So, recently in Moscow a fire broke out in the building of the military registration and enlistment office. The fire was massive, as 15 fire brigades put out the fire.
