(CercleFinance.com) – The United States’ trade deficit widened in April, reaching 74.6 billion dollars, against 60.6 billion dollars in March (revised figure compared to 64.2 billion dollars announced last month), according to the Commerce Department.
This 23% increase in the deficit from one month to the next results from a 3.6% decline in exports of goods and services, to $249 billion, and concomitantly from a 1.5% increase in imports. of goods & services, at $323.6 billion.
