The general director of the Barcelona Free Zone Consortium (CZFB), Blanca Sorigu, stressed that logistics “makes things happen, the world doesn’t stop”.
He said it this Tuesday during his speech at La Nit de la Logstica, which opens SIL 2023, which is held between this Wednesday and Friday at the Fira de Barcelona Montjuc venue.
Also present were King Felipe VI; the Minister of Transport, Mobility and the Urban Agenda, Raquel Sánchez; the Government delegate, Carlos Prieto, and the special State delegate to the CZFB, Pere Navarro, among others.
Sorigu has received one of the 43 awards that have been given to people related to the sector and has shown his appreciation because the 25 years of SIL “would not have been possible without the support and contribution”.
DEFINES THE LOGISTICS SECTOR AS “DYNAMIC, GIL”
He has defined the logistics sector as “dynamic, agile, fun, intense, passionate and with great professionals”, and has underlined the feeling of community that exists.
The general director has highlighted the role of logistics in the economy and that “the health crisis was the opportunity to demonstrate that logistics moves the world”.
She has lamented that it is a “masculinized” sector and there are still few women in management positions, something that she has pointed out that must be solved by working, according to her, together.
