Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, attended the memorial service on Memorial Day.

Questions poured in regarding the resignation of Lee Rae-gyeong, chairman of the Innovation Committee, who caused controversy over his remarks about the “self-destruction of the Cheonan warship”, but Lee kept his silence.

Immediately after the memorial ceremony, Choi Won-il, former captain of the Cheonan warship, approached Lee and asked for a meeting, but Lee reportedly only nodded without answering.

While the expression of regret at the party leadership level is being delayed, the conflict within the party over the background and verification of Chairman Lee Rae-kyung’s recommendation is intensifying.

On the other hand, the screaming world within the party demanded the resignation of the representative again, saying that the party’s innovation was impossible as long as Lee was in office.
