Western Digital Launches New Xbox Series X and S Expansion Cards: Prices and Availability

So you can connect storage cards on Xbox Series X.

Some time ago, a leak revealed the existence of two new Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S expansion cards from Western Digital, and now the company has confirmed that they are real.

Starting today, you can buy the 512 GB memory card for US$ 79,99/ R$ 396 (direct conversion) and the 1TB memory card per US$ 149,99/ R$ 743 (direct conversion). Both also come with one month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate included.

The arrival of these two new Xbox Western Digital SSD expansion cards marks the first time that we’ve seen a manufacturer other than Seagate making them, and we expect to continue to see more companies get involved in the future.

If you don’t quite understand what Xbox expansion cards are, they are used to add extra storage on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles and have the same speeds as the console’s internal drive. The vast majority of Xbox Series X|S optimized games require internal storage or one of these cards to function.

We still don’t know if or when they will be available in Brazil, but we will be aware that it shouldn’t take long for it to start being sold by importers here.
