Dagamba’s Bach Against the Machine Concert Tour Continues with Impressive Mežaparka Grand Stage Show

Over the weekend, classical music hooligans “Dagamba” managed to gather more than 7,000 listeners on the Mežaparka Grand Stage. Inspired by the success, the group has announced the continuation of the “Bach Against the Machine” concert tour.

Opening the season of open-air concerts on the Mežapark stage, after a three-year break with impressive multimedia elements, characters created by artificial intelligence and an emotionally saturated show, a grand concert of the latest album of the band “Dagamba” “Bach Against the Machine” was held.

In the first part, compositions from “Bach Against the Machine” were played, and in the second part, well-known compositions from the albums “Seasons”, “Dagamba feat Tchaikovsky”, “#LudwigVanRamstein” etc. were heard. “, to perform the piece “Kad Ūsiņš jāj” together – at the request of the listeners, it even had to be repeated. It should be noted that the compositions “Prelude to Artificial Intelligence”, “Carmina Burana” and “Paranoid Amadeus” were performed together with the unique sound of the voices of the boys’ choir of Riga Cathedral, while the young violinist Daniils Bulajevs joined the composition “Winter” by Antonio Vivaldi.

“The idea of connecting Bach with Rage Against the Machine was born already six years ago, but we started creating the first sketches three years later. Standing on the big stage of Mežapark in front of thousands of spectators, one thing became clear – big things take time, and it’s hard for me to imagine a more appropriate moment than now, when we could tell the seemingly incompatible story of classic Bach and rock legends “Rage Against the Machine”. ” wonders the leader of the group, Valters Puce.

This summer, the group “Dagamba” will be present in many more places as part of various city festivals (July 1 in Saulkrasti, July 15 in Suntaži, July 22 in Tērvete, August 5 in Rēzekne, August 12 in Jēkabpils, etc.), but next year it is planned to continue the tour in five more cities.
