« The Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts informs the actors of the entrepreneurial ecosystem residing in Cameroon, that a call for applications for the admission of 50 SMEs has been launched for them in the acceleration program of the Edéa National Pilot Business Incubator, with a view to scaling up Can we read in the press release of Achille Bassilekin III, (Minpmeesa).
Indeed, the companies selected will follow a 20-week work-study acceleration program focused on technological and/or organizational innovation. The press release from the minister specifies that interested small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have until June 16, 2023 (3:30 p.m. sharp) to submit applications.
Criteria
Among other selection criteria, the applicant must hold at least the Brevet d’études du premier cycle (Bepc) or an equivalent diploma or justify a Validation of Acquired Experience (VAE). It will be necessary to show dynamism, strong motivation, agility and self-sacrifice and above all be willing to take face-to-face courses at the National Pilot Business Incubator (PNPE) located in Edéa, Sanaga Maritime department, region of the Coast.
Be willing to get personally involved in the acceleration program; be able to read and write at least one of the two official languages; and be at least 18 years old in January 2023. As preferential criteria, applicants must first go through an incubator approved by the Minpmeesa. Be a woman and finally have a laptop computer and be registered in the national file of SMEs.
Companies must have a legal existence of 2 to 5 years and operate primarily in the following sectors: Agro-industry (processing of agricultural products and mechanization), wood and non-timber forest products (bamboo, rattan and straw) and cotton-leather- textile. It is also recommended that companies have a history of sales of products/services for the last two years and have financial statements for the last two years.
