Marcin Hakiel was born on June 6, 1983 in Gdynia. Practically throughout his professional life he has been associated with dance, but it was not his only way of life.
In 2008, he graduated from Finance and Banking at the Wyższa Szkoła Przedsiębiorczości i Management im. Leon Kozminski in Gdańsk. In addition, he also studied in the capital of Finland – Helsinki. Apart from education, however, he developed his dance skills in the “Perfekt” club in Gdańsk, from where he went to the biggest dance floors in Europe and the world.
His partners were Magdalena Soszyńska, with whom he took fifth place in the European Cup in 2004 and 12th place at the World Championships in 2001, as well as Agnieszka Kaźmierczak and Blanka Winiarska.
The greatest recognition, however, brought him participation in the “Dancing with the Stars” program, which was then broadcast by the TVN station. In 2005, he appeared in two editions. His first partner was Katarzyna Skrzynecka, and then Katarzyna Cichopek.
It was through the relationship with the star “M jak miłość” that he became known to a wider audience. The couple became involved in private life and married for many years, having two children – Adam and Helena.
Over the years of his relationship with Katarzyna Cichopek, Marcin Hakiel published photos of their happy family every year on his birthday. Time together with his wife and children was what the dancer enjoyed the most, and fans could watch how they spend his holiday in Greece or in the mountains.
