“Storytelling fits Harrison like a second skin,” Mangold mentions, adding that viewers can look forward to plenty of tricks in addition to the tension of the acting.
Ford himself adds that he “settled” in the role a long time ago, it belongs to him for decades, that’s why he was looking forward to the filming: “Preparations were not necessary.”
The creators of the film also admit that they were aware in advance that this film adventure would be the last for Indiana Jones. Harrison Ford will soon celebrate his 81st birthday, which – as he says with a laugh – is not quite a typical age for a Hollywood action hero.
Welcome to 1969
The plot of the new film takes place in 1969, when our world began to change very significantly. The main character is looking forward to rest, but fate won’t allow him yet… “As a professor, he’s about to retire, but he’s ready for another adventure,” Ford reveals one of the details of the story.
Regarding the filming itself, and its result, he adds: “I felt good. We made a film that the audience deserved. I’m sure they won’t be bored.”
