Kerala Blasters Temporarily Suspend Women’s Football Team Activities Due to Financial Crisis

Kochi: Due to severe financial crisis, Kerala Blasters has temporarily suspended the activities of the women’s football team. The team will have to pay a huge amount as they have been fined by the All India Football Federation. With this, the activities of the women’s team were temporarily stopped.

Blasters released a detailed note in this regard through the official page and social media. In the first season, the Blasters women’s team performed well. This time, Blasters received the penalty while the women’s team’s performance was to improve.

During the play-off match against Bengaluru FC in the ISL, the Blasters players walked out in protest. Following this, the AIF turned against the team and levied a fine. With this, the team plunged into financial crisis. Blasters clarified that the activities have been stopped temporarily and will come back strong.
