Unbubbled: A TEDxYouth Event for Breaking Social Bubbles and Connecting Ideas

An event called “Unbubbled”… Well, what’s on your mind? So we have pictures of Taiwanese bubble tea, which suddenly no longer has any bubbles. Or the song Bubbly Face by Colbie Caillat, where the face in the song is suddenly just a normal face. We have to say, pretty innovative ideas on our part, right? But they still don’t agree – it would make very little sense. The Unbubbled event actually makes a lot of sense though. The bubble we are talking about here is the social bubble. We all know: filter bubble, woke bubble, fashion bubble, Insta, TikTok, Twitter bubble… While we’re bubbling in our various bubbles, we not only often lose our view of the outside, but also our understanding of those who think differently. Ergo: We miss the connection, contact, exchange with people from other realities of life. And here comes the TEDxYouth@Munich into the game with a very special event on June 22nd.

Let’s get unbubbled!

On this day, TEDxYouth would like to think outside the box with you – completely independent of social and cultural background, profession, level of education and, of course, bubble. That means creating space for interaction, exchange and discussion, approaching each other and thinking together about opportunities and solutions for a better future. Numerous cool speakers have been invited for June 22nd to talk about pop culture, sexuality, violence & crime, technology, social media, alternative life models, sport, racism and other exciting topics. There are, for example, Malte Zierden, Alicia Joe and Queen Lizzy. Lena Whooo moderates. And patron Katrin Habenschaden – our second mayor – will also be at the start. Use your great, creative and sustainable ideas together and make our bubbles burst. True to the motto: Unbubble ME – Unbubble YOU!

Festival feeling for one day!

In addition to wonderful lectures, an exciting and varied supporting program awaits you. All in a cozy and relaxed atmosphere in the Werksviertel. Get ready for interactive workshops such as a recycling workshop Precious Plastic Münchena sexuality workshop with Consent Calling or a journaling workshop Lena Whooo. Look forward to lots of discussions. And let music from you Queen Lizzy and enchant others. It’s going to be a party!
