After two hours in the air, a Condor flight from Düsseldorf to Fuerteventura has to turn back and fly back to Germany. The reason was a defective display on the Boeing 757.
Flight DE1456 from Condor started on Saturday (3 June) in Düsseldorf almost two hours late. At the time, the 263 passengers on board the Boeing 757-300 did not know that this was not to be the biggest obstacle to their journey that day.
Because when the machine was in the air for around two hours and was already over the Spanish-Portuguese border, it turned. Another two hours and ten minutes later, the plane landed back where it had started: in Düsseldorf.
The reason for the reversal of the Boeing 757 was “a technical defect in the oil filter display”
The reason for the reversal was “a technical defect in the oil filter display,” explains a Condor spokeswoman. The 24-year-old jet “returned to Düsseldorf as a precautionary measure” because safety is always the top priority. The travelers were accommodated in hotels and would fly to Fuerteventura on a replacement flight on Sunday.
