Why the Price of New Apartments is Pushing One-Person Households Out of the Market: Colliers Latvia Analysis

The price of a new apartment for a two-person household is still “high”, while the one-person household is gradually being pushed out of this market segment, according to the calculations of the real estate company “Colliers Latvia”.

The price of new projects has grown significantly in the last couple of years, and loans have also become much more expensive as a result of raising the Euribor. This combination in no way promotes activity in the housing market, makes new apartments unaffordable for many. This is directly reflected in the statistics – “Colliers Latvia” estimates that the number of transactions with new apartments this year could be approximately 34% less than in previous years.
