On Saturday, following the announcement that the 2024 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series will be a two-day event featuring four teams at MetLife Stadium next February 17-18, the teams involved showed their enthusiasm on the media social. MetLife Stadium is the home of the New York Giants and New York Jets in the NFL.
The Flyers released video of their previous outdoor games, showing they’re looking forward to the 100+ mile trek along the New Jersey Turnpike.
The Devils, who have a much shorter way to go of about 10 miles from the Prudential Center, released a short video of the defender Dougie Hamilton taking on the look of a football player by applying black under the eyes.
The Rangers, who are closest to MetLife Stadium at about eight miles, shared a photo of Giants coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen cheering on the Blueshirts at Madison Square Garden with a humorous message.
The Islanders, who are 45 kilometers away, shared a photo of two logos in the snow with a frozen face emoji. It is indeed likely to be cold, if one relies on the usual temperatures of February in the Northeast of the United States.
The Flyers and Devils will play Game 1 on Saturday, February 17.
On Sunday, February 18, the Rangers will face the Islanders.
