Ria Ricis Shows off Mermaid Costume Diving Skills at Jakarta Aquarium

Ria Ricis shows off her diving skills wearing a mermaid costume at the Jakarta Aquarium, Sunday (4/6/).

Ricis admits that he has been a hobby of diving for a long time and has carried out various activities in the water.

Meanwhile, the act of diving wearing a mermaid costume is just Ricis’ fad.

“This is indeed a routine activity, because exercise is for breathing. If you wear a mermaid costume, it’s just for fun,” said Ria Ricis at the Jakarta Aquarium, Sunday (4/6).

Teuku Ryan’s wife said that she had started diving since 2013.

In fact, Ricis has also obtained a special license like a professional diver in 2019.

“Yes, it’s a hobby. From the very beginning when I was still living in Batam, I really liked swimming. After going to Jakarta, it was close to the sea which was quite clean on Seribu Island, so the training was there. From 2013 it was continued,” said Ricis.

“Me license I already have one, from 2019 there have been training in Bali too,” he continued.

Not without reason, Ricis fell in love with underwater life and finally decided to explore diving.

The funny thing is, Ricis admitted that he really wanted to be reborn as a fish so he could live in the water.

“I even said to my husband, ‘I want to go to heaven, continuing to live in water’. Yes, so I have aspirations to want to live in water. I even said that I am a fish myself,” said Ricis.

“He really wants to be a mermaid,” said Teuku Ryan, her husband.

Ricis also said that there are still many marine dive destinations that he has not had the chance to visit until now.

Ricis then really wanted to be able to dive all the seas in the territory of Indonesia.

“There are a lot of them. Not in Maluku, not in Banda Neira either. There are a lot of them, in Aceh there are also many who haven’t,” said Ricis.

Meanwhile, Ricis also told about the big difference between diving in an aquarium and in the open ocean.

“The scope is small. So the wild fish are closer, they make you panic more. It’s also colder,” concluded Ria Ricis.
