Jonathan David expresses disappointment after Lille lose fourth qualifying place for Europa League

Held in check by Troyes (1-1) this Saturday, as part of the 38th and last day of Ligue 1, Lille saw Rennes, winner in Brest (2-1), steal the 4th qualifying place for the Europa League . After the final whistle, Jonathan David (23 years old, 37 games and 24 goals in L1 this season), who could leave LOSC this summer, did not hide his dissatisfaction.

“There is a lot of disappointment, because we knew that with a victory, we kept this 4th place and our ticket for the C3… It is very disappointing. (…) Will that change anything? my future? Me, I’m still here. I’m under contract until 2025. After that, we’ll see what happens this summer, but I’m still from Lille”, reacted the Canadian striker at the microphone of Prime Video .

With 24 goals scored in L1 this season, David will undoubtedly be in great demand this summer.
