According to the York County Sheriff’s Office David Joseph Dalesandro (25), robbed a Kwik Stop store in Sharon, a small town in northwestern South Carolina, using a Nintendo gun designed for the game “Duck Hunt”. The gun was spray-painted black to make it look like a real gun
“Sanction told deputies that an individual allegedly walked into the store on May 30 wearing a wig, hooded sweatshirt and mask,” the sheriff’s office said in a news release. CNNSunday (4/6/2023).
The person allegedly showed officers the fake gun on his belt and demanded around $300 from the cashier, authorities said.
According to a news release Sheriff’s deputies found Dalesandro in the parking lot of a nearby Dollar General store, armed with a game gun in his pants.
Dalesandro was arrested and remains behind bars on Friday without bail, details of his arrest show.
According to the sheriff’s office, he faces charges including armed robbery with a deadly weapon and petty theft.
CNN was unable to know if he was being represented by an attorney.
