National Bank Increases Purchase Limit for Social Credit Card for Domestic Service Employees

This month an adjustment is applied to the amount of the Minimum, Vital and Mobile Salary (SMVM). For this reason, the National Bank makes an increase to the purchase limit of the social credit card. It is granted to domestic service employees after opening a salary account with the entity.

Workers in private homes often have problems when wanting to take out a personal loan.

Previously, those who receive the Universal Child Allowance (AUH) and/or Pregnancy could access an Anses Credit. However, the program is currently suspended for recipients of family allowances.

Given the need to respond to these workers, the Cuenta Nación Simple was launched. This is a free service package for those who provide services from 12 hours per week.

In addition to a salary account to collect their assets, holders receive a credit card. Your purchase limit is equivalent to the current salary floor. Therefore, on June 1, 2023 it rose to $87,987 as established by the Resolution 5/2023. The update is automatic.

Apply for the social credit card

This so-called social credit card must be requested from the BNA+ application. The clients of the financial entity have to request a change in their type of account at the branch.

Domestic employees can also apply for personal loans at Banco Nación. These are up to $200,000 for those who work more than 16 hours a week. However, the amount drops to $100,000 for those who perform services from 12 to 16 hours per week.

It should be noted that a differential interest rate is offered for clients of the banking institution.
