In the Turkish capital Ankara, the ceremony of swearing in and taking office of President-elect Recep Tayyip Erdogan took place in the parliament building.

After the inauguration ceremony, Erdogan opened the Mausoleum of the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
Later, at the presidential complex, Erdogan will receive congratulations from international leaders who attended the inauguration.
After that, an official dinner for distinguished guests will be held at the residence “Chankaya”.
Later on Saturday, Erdogan will announce the composition of Turkey’s new government.
According to the official results of the second round, Erdogan won the presidential election with a score of 52.18%, while opposition candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu received 47.82% of the vote.
Erdogan’s term in office will last until 2028.
