A number of Al-Ahram Canadian University students launched the “Sukoon” project, which is a website in Egypt that combines “psychiatry and life coaching.” The site also offers many services, namely: pediatric and adult psychiatry, and family counseling. Group therapy sessions are held.

The students told Al-Shorouk that the site works to meet the needs of patients in light of the increased demand for psychological support after increasing awareness of the need for a psychiatrist, and attention to mental health, one of the most important topics that the Egyptian government paid great attention to and put it within its vision 2030, which made us We aim to create a website to spread awareness and counseling about mental health, in conjunction with the increased demand for psychological counseling via the Internet.

The students continued: Four members of the Sukoon team went to an interview with Minister Nabila Makram, the former Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates, and the Fahim Foundation for Mental Health Support, to explain the idea of ​​the Sukoon website, and the idea was well received.

The site was co-created by students Hanan Anwar, Youmna Mostafa, Mirna Emad, Nahed Jamil, Farah Al-Shennawy, Ahmed Jamal, Fahd Jamal, Fatima Abdel Salam, under the supervision of Dr. Hala Rashad and Suha Megahed.
