Karaoke Operator Arrested for Persecution and Murder of Songstress in Central Java

The police have arrested AP (36), the perpetrator persecution to beat LA (24), songstress (lady companion/LC) in Batang, Central Java. AP, who is a karaoke operator, committed this heinous act because the victim asked for a relationship breakup.

“We have secured the perpetrator. From his confession, the argument began when the victim asked to break up. However, the perpetrator did not want to. The bickering then led to persecution and the victim died,” said AKP Andi Fajar, Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Batang Police, reported detikJatengFriday (2/6/2023).

Andi said the perpetrator worked as an operator at an entertainment and karaoke venue on the Pantura Batang route. According to him, the relationship between the widow and the widower had lasted four years. When the victim asks to end the relationship, the perpetrator gets emotional and commits torture which ends in death. When met at the Batang Police Headquarters, Friday (2/6) afternoon, AP admitted that he regretted causing the death of his loved ones. He also admitted that he planned to marry the victim. After abusing him, AP admitted that he and his friend took the victim to the Limpung Hospital. He also admitted waiting for the victim in the hospital.

“Four years (dating). His words were rude to him. He sarcastic poor, not have money, got HIV. I love her. There are intentions of getting married too, but waiting collect money. I don’t have any money anymore,” AP said when met at the Batang Police, Friday afternoon (02/06).

“I’m really sorry. I brought him to the hospital with friends. Poor him,” he said.

The police have named AP as a suspect. He was charged with Article 351 of the Criminal Code concerning maltreatment resulting in death with a maximum penalty of 7 years in prison.
