Russian Mobilization: Problems with Society’s Unpreparedness and Security Companies’ Participation

According to the publication, Burdinsky’s report was published on the website of the magazine of the Ministry of Defense “Military Commissariats of Russia”. It was removed, but a copy has been preserved in the web archive.

The document mentions data that in Russia during last year’s mobilization, they allegedly managed to call up more than 300 thousand people and 280 new units were formed from them.

At the same time, the deputy head of the General Staff admitted in the report that the Russian army there are problems “with the unpreparedness of part of society to perform military duty”. He also wrote about the poor organization of the provision of weapons and equipment.

Burdinsky pointed out that employees of security companies began to be attracted to participate in the war against Ukraine in Russia.

The military of the aggressor country says that in 2023 the Russians want to form the “Azov Naval Region” in the occupied territories of Ukraine.

He also wrote that in 2023 the military registration and enlistment offices will conduct organized raids on conscripts together with employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Mobilization in Russia

Recall that in the fall of last year, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilization in the country against the backdrop of significant losses in the war against Ukraine.

After that, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense announced that the enemy managed to mobilize about 280 thousand people. They were sent to the front without quality training, since such conscripts were captured a few weeks after the start of mobilization.

Today, June 2, Estonian intelligence said that Russia could announce the second wave of mobilization. The chance of this is very high.
