New Media Art Exhibition “Retrospectropia” Opening at Liepāja Museum

Thursday, June 8, at 17 “RETROSPEKTROPIJA” art exhibition of the graduates of Liepaja University’s New Media Art Studies will be opened in the enfilade of the Liepāja Museum on Kūrmājas Prospect 16/18. The exhibition is organized by the association “ASTE. Art, Science, Technology, Education” in cooperation with Liepāja University Art Research Laboratory MPLab.

The exhibition “RETROSPECTROPY” provides an insight into ghosts, myths, assumptions and surprising turns of human imagination and emotions created by the new communicative spaces created by various technologies, collecting the works of 15 artists who belong to Liepāja’s community of new media artists – remotely united.

The curator of the exhibition is Anna Priedola, head of MPLab, head of the Bachelor study program New Media Art. The creation of the exhibition is supported by the State Culture Capital Fund.

We would like to inform you that during the opening of the exhibition, photography and video filming will be carried out.
