Imagine the world if men abolished night and rest? This is the theme chosen by twenty-seven students from the theater workshop at the Jean-Rostand college in Draguignan. From classes ranging from 6e at the 3e, the young Dracénois worked under the direction of Gaëlle Chauveau and Caroline Jasica, professors of literature within the establishment. Created in the form of a dystopia – a fictional tale depicting an imaginary society that prevents its members from achieving happiness – the show A world without night is inspired by a play by the author Laurent Gaudé performed in particular in March 2022 on the stage of the Théâtre de l’Esplanade: The Last Night of the World.
