A driver from Buzău county was caught, on Friday, driving at a speed of 243 kilometers per hour, on a section of the A 3 highway, in Brasov county. The man had three children in the car and told the police that he wanted to show them what high speeds his car can reach.
“The police officers from the Râşnov Police Station caught a car traveling at a speed of 243 km/h on the A3 highway sector, in Braşov county, with the radar device. The particularly dangerous record was recorded today, June 2, in an action that the Brasov police officers organized to maintain the climate of road safety on public roads in the county, in the context of the mini-holiday occasioned by the Pentecost holiday, when a known increase in the number of vehicles and tourists, writes News.ro
After they pulled over the driver, a man from Buzău county, the police were extremely worried when they noticed that there were three other children in the sports vehicle, for which the driver only wanted to show them how fast maximum his vehicle can run”, informs the Brasov County Police.
The driver was fined and his right to drive was suspended for a period of 120 days from the moment of identification, which is why the car he was driving was taken over by another person.
Also on Friday, as part of the action organized by the traffic police in Braşov, five other drivers were left without driving licenses, these being suspended for violating the legal speed regime. The Braşov Traffic Police requests drivers “to respect the traffic rules and not to take actions that could put their lives in danger”.
