Dacia is preparing a new flagship model. Its presentation should take place in 2026 and will open the so-called D-SUV class for the Romanian brand. The data for this is from the Spanish site Motor.es.
Dacia’s new crossover will be significantly larger than the Duster and its bigger brother, the Bigster. The length of the car will be around 4.6 m and will be built on the CMF platform.
According to the renderings, the new Dacia will feature a sharp design with a sloping arched roof, high window line and hidden rear door handles. In other words, the new Romanian flagship will be a coupe-shaped crossover.
The model will become an affordable crossover coupe – a cheap alternative to the Audi Q3 Sportback. In fact, it will replace the Renault Arkana, which will soon be discontinued.
The Dacia crossover is positioned as a more affordable alternative to the Citroen C5 X. This means that it will have low ground clearance, and the handling will be closer to that of a passenger car.
The new Dacia is expected to get gasoline turbo engines with 48-volt “soft” hybrid units. There will also be a full-fledged E-Tech hybrid, as well as a modification with a factory gas system.
