Brentford have announced the appointment of Lydia Bedford as head coach of the club’s under-18s. Her assistant will be John-Paul Pittman, who moved from the Forest Green Rovers club. Bedford herself was a former assistant manager at Arsenal and head coach at Leicester in the FA Women’s Super League.
According to British media, this is the first time that a woman has become a coach in the Premier League club.
