Under contract until June 2026, the 22-year-old midfielder took advantage of the last match of the championship on Vizela’s lawn to bid farewell to Sporting supporters.

While his agent Jorge Mendes, close to Luis Campos, plays the intermediary between the leaders of Paris Saint-Germain and those of the Portuguese club in the negotiations, the Uruguayan international has not yet made a decision concerning his next destination. Especially since Chelsea and their new manager Mauricio Pochettino would do anything to secure the signing of Manuel Ugarte.

Ugarte would have a preference for the Premier League, but the fact that Chelsea will not play in any European cup next season, unlike Paris SG which guarantees him to play in the Champions League, could have an impact on his choice.
