He is thanking LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault after a sharp fall in luxury on European stock exchanges.
Tesla founder and Twitter owner Elon Musk is back on the throne as the world’s richest, according to Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
The controversial South African now has a fortune of a whopping 192 billion dollars, which corresponds to approximately NOK 2,134.3 billion.
He thus takes over first place on the billionaire index again, despite the fact that the value of Twitter recently dropped to a third of what it was when Musk bought the platform.

From zero to gold: The funds that have had a new spring
The protagonist himself has been in China in recent days, where he has promised that Tesla will continue to expand its business. It is happening at the same time as the tension between Beijing and Washington is at freezing point.
Luxury case
The saying about one man’s death, another man’s bread also applies in the world of billionaires. The background for Musk’s top place among the world’s richest is a fall in the fortune of Frenchman Bernard Arnault.
Arnault, who owns the luxury group LVMH, was the world’s richest for about half a year, but has now dropped to second place.
His fortune fell by 5.25 billion dollars (approx. 58.6 billion Norwegian kroner) yesterday. The luxury billionaire still needs salt in his food with his fortune of 187 billion dollars.
Arnault’s downgrade to second place on Bloomberg’s list comes after a luxury drop in European stock markets at the end of May.
The LVMH group, which among other things owns brands such as Louis Vuitton and Dom Perignon, fell sharply on the stock exchange on 22 May this year.
Hermes and Gucci owner Kering have also felt the fall, which contributed to more than $30 billion in market value being shaved off in one day in May.
Putin and a Norwegian on the list
Bloomberg’s billionaire index has since 2012 kept track of the world’s 500 richest people.
Behind Musk and Arnault comes a small tail of tech billionaires.
In third place is Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, fourth place is occupied by Microsoft founder Bill Gates and fifth place currently belongs to Larry Ellison, the founder of the IT company Oracle.
Other famous names on the list are Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in 10th place, Alibaba founder Jack Ma, who is at number 39, and Russian President Vladimir Putin, who holds 44th place.
To find the first Norwegian, you have to scroll down to the 436th place. The hedge fund billionaire Ole Andreas Halvorsen is there. His forum is estimated at 5.63 billion dollars – close to 62.9 billion Norwegian kroner.
