EU asks employees not to use artificial intelligence

The European Union (EU) Commission has asked its employees not to use artificial intelligence chatbots such as Chat GPT for critical jobs.

According to the news of the Politico website, the EU Commission has prepared new rules that limit the use of various artificial intelligence technologies such as ChatGPT and Bard, the chat robot whose usage area has become widespread recently.

The new rules are intended to assist employees with the risks and limitations of online AI tools and their safe use in the Commission’s work activities.

In this context, non-public information will not be shared or disclosed while using the artificial intelligence tool.

We will be aware of the fact that the answers given by artificial intelligence may be wrong or biased.

The issue of whether artificial intelligence infringes intellectual property rights will also be considered.

Information generated by artificial intelligence will never be copied and pasted into official documents.

Artificial intelligence tools will not be used, especially when working on critical and sensitive processes.

AI REGULATIONS CONTINUE

The EU does not yet have a regulation on ChatGPT or similar artificial intelligence systems, but the EU Commission prepared the first legislative proposal containing the new rules framework on artificial intelligence and submitted it to the member states and the European Parliament (EP) 2 years ago. This proposal introduced some limitations and transparency rules in the use of artificial intelligence systems.

In the proposal of the Commission, artificial intelligence systems were divided into 4 main groups as unacceptable “risk”, “high risk”, “limited risk” and “minimum risk”.

Work continues on this regulation within the EU structure.
