“Ranking of the 30 Most Valuable Football Clubs in the World According to Forbes – Real Madrid Tops the List Again”

Forbes magazine published this Wednesday a list of the 30 most valuable football clubs on the planet.

What happened

The magazine specializing in economics assessed the market value of the clubs. Among the 30 teams studied and cited in the ranking, the average value is US$ 2.17 billion (R$ 11.9 billion at current quotations).

Real Madrid tops the list for the second consecutive year. The club from the Spanish capital is quoted at US$ 6.07 billion (R$ 31.03 billion). Manchester United overtook Barcelona to occupy second position.

Teams from outside Europe appear in the Forbes ranking for the first time since 2013 — at the time it was Corinthians, the only Brazilian mentioned in 16 editions.

There are no Brazilian clubs on this year’s list.

Seven teams from the USA are in the top 30. LAFC is the highest placed club at 17th. Until 2023, the magazine published lists with only 20 teams, not 30.
