Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno has not yet determined which political party he will choose to anchor after resigning from the Gerindra Party. Sandiaga said he would announce his decision in the near future.
“The decision will certainly be taken in the next few weeks. Friends will definitely be given the first opportunity to hear later after I discuss the decision and I will of course consider it for future steps,” Sandiaga told reporters at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta , Wednesday (31/5/2023).
Sandiaga said he would announce his chosen party after consulting with religious and community leaders. This, Sandi said, was in order to achieve Indonesia’s goal of gold in the future.
“And of course consulting with the clerics, with the clerics, community leaders so that we can achieve a common goal for the achievement of golden Indonesia in the future,” said Sandiaga.
Furthermore, he revealed that it was very likely that he would join the PPP. Sandiaga also said that he received an assignment from the Plt Ketum PPP Mardiono to realize it.
“Yes, there is a big possibility (joining PPP). Because we will determine the future steps, there are several tasks from the Plt Ketum (PPP) given to me and I have to make them happen, but I have to go through several stages,” said Sandiaga. He answered reporters’ questions regarding the possibility of joining PPP.
Sandiaga said the announcement could be made between June or July. “Maybe it could be June, maybe it could be July,” he said.
