Lebanese Army Frees Kidnapped Saudi Citizen Near Syrian Border in Bekaa Region

The Lebanese army announced in a statement, “Its intelligence directorate was able to free the kidnapped Saudi Mashari Al-Mutairi and arrest the criminals in the Bekaa region near the Syrian border, and it is now in the custody of the army intelligence office in Hermel, and a number of wanted persons have been arrested.”

According to the Lebanese media, the kidnapping of the Saudi citizen, who was freed today in an operation by the Lebanese army, took place through two stolen cars carrying seven people. The Lebanese army identified four of them, and raided their homes in the Bekaa Valley, specifically in the Hermel region, which is considered a stronghold of “Hezbollah”.

The information indicated that three of the kidnappers were wearing military uniforms and were not affiliated with the army.

And the Lebanese “MTV” network revealed that the investigations indicated that “Ali Zuaiter” was involved; Nicknamed “Abu Basala”, the largest drug dealer in Lebanon, in the kidnapping of the citizen “Mishary Al-Mutairi”.

According to unofficial information, the accused is still hiding in the Hermel area along with his gang. Meanwhile, the Lebanese Ministry of Defense is holding a meeting to find out the circumstances of the crime after the release of the Saudi kidnapper.
