GENOA – Italian football club Sampdoria Genoa has been taken over by a consortium that also includes a company led by Leeds United president Andrea Radrizzani.
The majority shareholder of the English club, Radrizzani’s company Aser Group, and the financial company Gestio Capital have announced that they have entered into a joint agreement. With her, they saved Sampdoria, which found itself in financial trouble.
“We are excited to announce the completion ofie the purchase of this exceptional club. Sampdoria’s history and brand will continue to remain safe. I want to thank all the people who worked hard to make this deal possible,” the DPA agency quoted Radrizzani’s statement.
