Moroccan Singer Basma Bousil hints at return to music post-divorce from Tamer Hosni

Moroccan singer Basma Bousil, through her Instagram account, alluded to the decision to return to singing after her separation from Tamer Hosni.

Basma published a clip with her voice from the song of the Lebanese star, Hiba Touji, “Who will choose”, written by Ghadi Al-Rahbani and music and production by Osama Al-Rahbani.

It was remarkable that Bousil did not present the song as a “cover”, but rather put her voice in the place of Touji’s voice, while preserving the words, melodies and distribution of the original song.

Bousil sang the following verse: “I want to fly, no one can cancel my wings, the voice of birds… I sing the dream with my songs/ no one can erase me… the strength in me will protect me, you are my great faith… love and a new covenant.”

It is noteworthy that Basma Bousil had revealed the reason for her retirement from singing, during a previous television interview, saying that the decision came of her own free will and in agreement with Tamer Hosni, and it was not Tamer’s decision, explaining: “I agreed with Tamer that I would retire from art before marriage so that my interests would be at home and raising children. And Tamer Ma’ishni is a queen.”

The divorce between Basma and Tamer Hosni took place in silence, until Basma broke her silence and published a picture of the social media director of Tamer Hosni, Hala Omar, and wrote on the picture: “God suffices me, and He is the best disposer of affairs in you, O Hala.” Then she published “Story” in which she said: “Respect for the ten It starts with respecting the feelings of others, especially if someone was the main reason for the destruction of your home and the lives of your children.”
