Placed under the supervision of Toulouse Métropole, the Public Establishment of the Capitole brings together the National Opera of the Capitole, the National Orchestra and the Halle aux grains since January 1, 2023.
Its mission is to produce and broadcast lyrical, musical and choreographic performances and symphonic concerts, to develop musical life and influence on a regional, national and international scale, to sensitize and artistically educate all audiences and to participate in the training and to the integration of professionals in the sector.
The Public Establishment of the Capitole is one of the largest French cultural institutions in the region and notably includes an orchestra, a choir, a ballet and a master’s degree. It employs over 400 permanent staff, including artists, technicians and administrative teams. It offers an average of 150 curtain raisers in Toulouse and 50 to 80 tour dates per season, corresponding to more than 220,000 annual spectators.

Job Description

Missions :

The coordinator of the Demos project (musical and orchestral education system with a social vocation) ensures the consistency of the system, taking into account local and national identities. Placed under the direction of the Capitole (local operator), it works under the authority of the managing director of the orchestra and is in close contact with the coordination team of the Philharmonie de Paris (national operator). As such, it ensures:

° The coordination of the 7 social structures involved in the project by promoting partnership, ensuring the proper conduct of the project on all the sites and by promoting discussion times on the project with the teams of the social structures.
° The coordination of the artistic contributors (30 musicians, choir directors, dancers, conductor) by ensuring the administrative follow-up of the contracts, the management of the schedules, the attendance records for each site, the preparation of the salaries and the distribution of the documents for the implementation of actions with stakeholders. In this context, you will work closely with the local educational referent and participate in the recruitment of artistic contributors.
° Coordination with local stakeholders by creating links with community representatives and promoting collaboration with music education establishments and partnerships with cultural establishments.
° The administrative and logistical coordination of the action with the management of the instrumental park (monitoring and inventory) and the organization of groups and concerts.
° Budget management and communication by ensuring the budget monitoring of the action, by writing the regular reports of the action, by participating in the production of program notes and other communication media in connection with the communication department of the local and national team and by ensuring the follow-up of the evaluations of the system in conjunction with the local and national team.

Description of the profile sought

Profile :

With significant experience in leading cultural projects, you have good knowledge of the music and social fields. You also have a global knowledge of the territorial environment, the functioning of communities and the metropolitan territory. Experienced in project management, you know how to build and manage an action plan, but also set up monitoring and evaluation indicators according to the given objectives. Organized and methodical, you master office tools and know how to manage the distribution of information. Recognized for your listening skills and your interpersonal skills, you enjoy working in a team and demonstrate a great sense of communication to promote exchanges and develop partnerships. Creative and reactive, you are available (variable hours linked to the activity).
