The Party for the Animals of Cyprus calls on the Minister of the Interior and the Minister of Justice to look into the serious issue, as it states, of the non-compliance of the Municipalities and Communities with the Dog Law, so that solutions can be found immediately.
According to a statement from the Cyprus Animals Party, for some time the Party had warned the Municipalities, and in particular the Communities, about the need for compliance them with them provisions of the relevant legislation and specifically of the Dog Law 184(I)2002, emphasizing the possibility that violators will be taken to court.
Unfortunately, the Party reports, the same situation of non-compliance with the law continues to this day, with highlight the case of Agios Trimithias, where, as noted dogs “happen to be abandoned and be in the Community’s facilities”.
The Party for Animals stands with the protestors and will also attend the protest on Sunday, June 4 in Agios Trimithias, it is noted in the announcement.
