“Cooler Master Qube 500: Modular PC Housing for Eco-Friendly and Customizable Builds”

Cooler Master has presented the Qube 500, a housing that consists of separate panels and parts and must be assembled by the user. This way the packaging can be smaller and shipping is less harmful to the environment. The cabinet costs 79 euros.

The Qube 500 has a modular design and the panels are interchangeable. For example, the front, top and bottom panels are interchangeable and the user can choose to remove all panels or install panels of different colors. The cabinet also comes with a handle that can be placed on any corner of the cabinet. Users can also install accessories such as hangers for a controller or cables on the outside of the cabinet.

The case is made of plastic and steel and measures 406x231x415mm. The housing has a capacity of 33.44 liters and can accommodate two 280mm radiators and eight 120mm fans, two of which are supplied. Seven of these fans can also be 140mm in size. The cabinet has room for an eATX motherboard of up to 280mm wide, or smaller motherboards.

There is also room for three 3.5″ or 2.5″ drives and three 2.5″ drives. The enclosure has two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and a Gen 2×2 Type-C port. The CPU cooler can be a maximum of 172 mm, the power supply a maximum of 332 mm and the GPU a maximum of 365 mm.The housing comes with a bracket to mount GPUs vertically.

Cooler Master previously showed the case as a concept at CES, but now says that the case will be released and will cost 79 euros. It is not clear when the cabinet should be for sale. The manufacturer isn’t the first case maker to make flat-pack cases; InWin, for example, presented one in April.
