After installing the latest update from Apple, some iPhone users are experiencing battery problems.
They complained about several problems associated with the new update, “iOS 16.5”, such as the high temperature of the phone and the speed of the battery charging compared to the previous one, according to the “Zdnet” website specialized in technology news.
Therefore, the site provided 7 tips through which you can find out where the fault is and fix battery problems that may occur.
1- Patience
It is normal to have a decrease in battery life after installing any update from Apple.
iPhones need to perform a number of background tasks in the wake of the update, and this consumes more power than usual, so the battery life will return to normal once all these additional tasks are completed.
2- Reboot
It may seem strange to recommend a reboot because the update process automatically restarts the phone.
But doing it again can really help – and it’s proven to work many times.
3- Update applications
The problem may not be iOS related but a malicious app, which means it’s worth making sure all your apps are up to date.
To do this, go to the Apple Store and click your profile icon at the top. Then scroll down to find the available updates, and directly click on “Update All”.
4- Find the cause of the dead battery
If the previous step didn’t improve your battery, there might be a “rogue” app draining your phone’s power. Fortunately, iOS gives you the tools you need to track down malicious apps.
So go to settings and then battery. Here you’ll see plenty of data including ‘phone activity by app’ which details how much power an app is using while it’s on screen and how much it’s using in the background.
This information can be used to diagnose battery drain issues, and thus control which app is consuming too much power.
5- Replace the battery
If the phone is 4 or more years old, the battery may be old and need to be replaced.
To find out, tap Settings and head to Battery, then Phone Health & Charging and check the maximum capacity of the listed battery.
If this percentage is less than 80%, it may indicate that the battery is bad and needs to be replaced.
6- High temperature
The problem may originally be in the exposure of the phone to a sharp rise in temperature, especially when it is used inside the car while it is exposed to the sun and at the same time it is placed on the charger.
If the high temperature leads to corrosion of battery cells and performance problems.
7- Wait
If the previous steps did not work, just wait for the new update from Apple to fix the problem.
