At the Bischbrunn municipal council meeting on Thursday in the meeting room in Oberndorf, the committee unanimously approved the budget for 2023, which treasurer Heiko Müller explained. Compared to the previous year, the volume has increased by EUR 761,805 to a good EUR 6 million. The most important income in the administrative budget, amounting to 3.8 million euros, is: income tax of 1,232,150 euros, key allocations of 840,256 euros, trade tax of 200,000 euros and property tax B of 156,135 euros. In terms of expenditure, 901,268 euros are to be paid as a district levy and 290,952 euros as a VG levy.
The asset budget amounts to almost 2.2 million euros. The highest expenditure item here is the Bischbrunn fire station with 1.5 million euros. Last year, costs of 1.65 million had to be paid for this. Road construction, water and sewerage in the Kirchstrasse commercial area cost 278,864 euros. 50,000 euros will be spent on renovation measures at the former school and town hall in Bischbrunn and a total of 42,000 euros on planning costs for the sewer and water renovation in Kändelstraße and Kreuzhöhstraße. The construction costs for this will not be incurred until 2024, when the district will renovate this remaining section of the through road.
Credit needed for fire station
A surplus of EUR 469,389 can be expected to be allocated to the property budget from the administrative budget. Less the repayments to be made of 190,207 euros, this results in a so-called free financial margin of 279,181 euros. Other significant income from the asset budget is various subsidies totaling EUR 421,025 as well as the investment lump sum of EUR 143,000 and planned property sales in Kirchstrasse amounting to EUR 90,000.
Despite a withdrawal of 221,020 euros from the reserves, the income is not sufficient, so that a loan of 815,000 euros is necessary. This is necessary because of the construction of the new fire station. Therefore, the debt at the end of 2023 also increases to almost 3.2 million euros, which then corresponds to a per capita debt of 1,778 euros. Kämmerer Müller sees the community in a good position to cope with this, especially since the previous loans for the new school building were taken out and will be repaid in full from the rental income generated there.
Topping-out ceremony for fire station planned for July 7th
The municipal council had no suggestions for changes to the update of the wind energy control concept of the Regional Planning Association of Würzburg. From Bischbrunn’s point of view, there are no additional suggested areas to be examined.
The council members unanimously approved two supplementary offers from the company Siegler-Bau from Lohr for the Bischbrunn fire station. This involved additional reinforcement connections for 1,167 euros and a modified seal between the floor slab and the masonry for 4,646 euros.
Mayor Agnes Engelhardt informed about two dates. On June 17th, the commander of the Oberndorf fire department will be elected and the topping-out ceremony for the Bischbrunn fire station is expected to take place on July 7th.
