The police gave details about the accident on the Trakia highway, km. 356 in the direction of Burgas, the police reported.
Due to the driver falling asleep / 45-year-old from Burgas/ while driving and losing control, the “Setra” bus, with Burgas registration, traveling from Vienna to Burgas crashed on its own, hitting a roadside billboard and overturning in the ditch.
The driver was tested for alcohol and drugs, both of which were negative.
A total of 15 passengers were injured and taken to UMBAL – Burgas and “Deva Maria” hospital.
They were examined and placed for treatment in different hospital departments:
– a 65-year-old woman admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Virgin Mary Hospital with a broken pelvis, not life-threatening
– 47-year-old woman admitted to the “Neurosurgery” department at UMBAL – Burgas with a concussion
– 49-year-old man admitted to the “Neurosurgery” department at UMBAL – Burgas with a concussion
– 56-year-old woman, admitted to the “Neurosurgery” department at UMBAL – Burgas with a concussion
– 29-year-old woman, admitted to the “Orthopaedics” department at the UMBAL – Burgas with a laceration of the arm
– 60-year-old man admitted to the “Neurosurgery” department at UMBAL – Burgas with a concussion
– 54-year-old woman, admitted to the “Orthopaedics” department at the UMBAL – Burgas with a laceration of the hand
– 45-year-old woman, admitted to the “Neurosurgery” department at UMBAL – Burgas with an injury of the lumbar vertebrae
– 63-year-old man, admitted to the “Neurosurgery” department at UMBAL – Burgas with a concussion
– 65-year-old woman, admitted to the “Orthopaedics” department at UMBAL – Burgas with an open wound on the arm
– 65-year-old woman, admitted to the “Neurosurgery” department at UMBAL – Burgas with a concussion
– 67-year-old woman, admitted to the “Neurosurgery” department at UMBAL – Burgas with a concussion
