The record holder as the tallest woman in the world, Turkish Ramisa Golgi, cast her vote in the second round of the Turkish presidential elections, on Sunday.
Through a mobile ballot box brought to her home, Gilgi, who is two meters and 15 centimeters tall, was able to cast her vote in the Safranbolu district of Karabuk state in northern Turkey, according to the Turkish “Anatolia” news agency.
In a statement to reporters after her vote, Ghalghi, who is listed in the Guinness Book of Records, expressed her wishes that the elections would be good for the country.
On Sunday evening, the head of the Supreme Electoral Commission, Ahmet Yener, confirmed the victory of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, after obtaining 52.14 percent of the vote, which represents the official result of the elections.
Yener said that after counting 99.43 percent of the ballot boxes, Erdogan’s rival Kilicdaroglu got 47.86 percent.
He added that with a difference of more than two million votes between the two candidates, the rest of the votes that have not yet been counted will not change anything in the result.
