Kickboxing legend Badr Hari (106−17−2, 92 KOs) is officially back!
The former superstar will face the very experienced James McSweeney (46−6, 28 KO) in the main event of GLORY 88 to be held in Paris on September 9th.
Hari made his last fight in October for a trilogy with former UFC fighter Alistair Overeem. Defeated by decision, the fighter of Moroccan origin then saw the decision of the fight changed to No-Contest following a positive doping test from Overeem.
The 38-year-old fighter now returns with his eyes set on the GLORY Heavyweight Grand Prix, which will take place in the month of December. His fight against McSweeney is confirmed and announced as an official qualification for this 8-man Grand Prix, the winner of which will walk away with the very nice sum of 500,000 dollars.
McSweeney, who battled Gokhan Saki valiantly in Glory Collision 3, approaches this fight with confidence after defeating World and European Muay Thai Champion Buğra Erdoğan last December. The well-travelled Briton has fought all over the world against the biggest names in combat sports, and is looking forward to stepping into the ring against Badr Hari.
The GLORY 88 marks the great return of GLORY kickboxing in France since 2019, the evening will take place at the Dôme de Paris. More information soon.
