Nissan Qashqai II
The paintwork of the body is well tolerated by the challenges of everyday use, but the paint on plastic parts does not hold up so well. Although the metal of the body is not galvanized, corrosion does not appear immediately even in places where the paintwork is damaged.
Most often, supports and stabilizer consumables fail on Qashqai (resource 30-60 thousand km). Shock absorbers and wheel bearings last a little longer (on average, they serve 70-80 thousand km). Clutch with moderate load without problems survives up to 100-120 thousand kilometers.

The quality of the paintwork is average, but the chrome body decor behaves quite well. The two-liter petrol engine is reliable, but sometimes its expensive actuator fails at 50,000 km. But the diesel engine (2.2 liters) is very problematic.
The cylinder head gasket quickly loses its tightness, which leads to increased oil and coolant consumption, as well as significant carbon deposits on the pistons and its rings. The second dangerous malfunction is overflowing fuel injectors. Fuel enters the sump and accelerates oil degradation, and with it engine wear.

The paintwork is reliable, but there are two places where pockets of corrosion can occur – the trunk lid and the front door frames. The main problem of the model is the formation of “seizures” in engines due to the destruction of the catalyst and the ingress of ceramic crumbs into the cylinders. Many owners are concerned about the rattling and knocking of the muffler when idling, which occurs due to the gas flow control valve in the resonator.
Car service masters recommend simply cutting out the valve and brewing the “can” back. The easiest and cheapest way to eliminate this obstacle. Pads usually live 50-60 thousand km, brake discs – 70-100 thousand km, which is a very good result.
Volkswagen Tiguan II
If the crossover is equipped with a 1.4 TSI engine, then problems arise with the timing chain, which requires replacement up to 50 thousand kilometers due to excessive stretching. The weak points of two-liter diesel engines are diesel particulate filters (or DPL), which become clogged due to driving in city traffic jams when the engine is mostly idling.
As for the box, there are problems with DSG robots. Problems manifest themselves both in extraneous transmission noise (due to bearing wear closer to 100 thousand kilometers), and the inability to turn on reverse, as well as put the robot in paired modes.
Skoda Octavia III
Models are lucky with turbocharged engines – they are reliable and high-torque. But their actuator (pressure regulator) can fail after 70 thousand km. The naturally aspirated 1.6 MPI CWVA engine (110 hp) often has an oil burn, and owners have to add 300-400 ml of oil for every 1000 km of run.
At the same time, the 110-horsepower naturally aspirated 1.6 MPI engine with the CVWA index is really very reliable. Many taxi companies and car sharing services use Octavia with this engine, and runs there reach 200-300 thousand km without major repairs.
