Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Saudi businessman, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, announced the provision of a financial reward to Al Ittihad Jeddah club, after winning the title of the “Roshen” league competition for the 2022/23 season.
The “Tigers” team won the league title for the first time after an absence of 13 years and since the 2008/2009 season, and for the ninth time in the history of its participation in the competition.
Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal congratulated Al-Ittihad Jeddah Club for the title, and decided to give it 3 million Saudi riyals ($800,000).
Prince Abdul Rahman bin Musaed, the former president of Al Hilal Club, also blessed the “Tigers” team, as he said through his official account on the Twitter platform: “Congratulations to Al-Ittihad for the league championship.
While Prince Abdullah bin Musaed, owner of the English club Sheffield United, tweeted: “Congratulations to the dean and his fans.”
Ittihad Jeddah Club is participating in the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup, which will be held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
